PREMISE

When an obsessive admirer abducts the woman of his dreams, his delusional plan to win her heart spirals into chaos. As their unsettling cat-and-mouse game unfolds, the story shifts from a darkly humorous exploration of unrequited love to a chilling deconstruction of his fractured reality. With bold, experimental camera work and seamless transitions between horror and comedy, the film keeps the audience on edge, never letting them settle into one emotional tone for long.

This approach allows for genre-shifting without tipping the audience off too soon, creating a dynamic and engaging narrative arc.

DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT

The genre transitions are intended to be both unsettling and engaging, keeping the audience in a constant state of unease. By never allowing the viewer to settle into one genre for too long, the film becomes an emotional rollercoaster—one moment laughing, the next shuddering. This dynamic storytelling is inspired by films like Life is Beautiful and Parasite, where genre shifts not only surprise but also deepen the narrative impact, allowing us to explore human experiences in a more profound and unexpected way. Similarly, I am experimenting with genre switching to create a unique emotional journey that keeps the audience off balance, much like Life is Beautiful and Parasite, where the shifts in tone serve to both entertain and reveal deeper truths about the characters and their world. Ultimately, this film is a journey into the darkest corners of unrequited love—a cautionary tale of what happens when desire turns into delusion, and the boundary between affection and possession becomes dangerously thin.
